Some schools welcome the children of parents who have come to the island on extended business trips and feel their children would benefit from classroom time.
Kiddie Garden Nursery and Preschool is located in a converted two story house and provides safe and comfortable care and education for children from eight months to five years old.
Samui Tiny Steps is one of Samui most famous Kindergarten has it follows the EYFS system described for the previous Kindergarten.
A plus of this kindergarten is also its website that is very user friendly and has a lot of information for parents.
Opening in a new location in the spring of 2018, Little Coconuts offers indoor and outdoor areas for play and learning. The school follows the U.K. EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) criteria.
This Kindergarten is much simpler option but offers everything the children might need for his early development. This establishment has received very positive reviews from Russian Families and the kindergarten works at a Thai/Russian ratio of 80/20. The kids are encouraged to play and express themselves throughout the day.
At the end of the day parents are given a report for everything happening that day so you don’t have to worry about knowing if your children slept, played, sang or made amazing drawings.
This Russian kindergarten called "EasyDays" opened its doors in 2013. All teachers have extensive experience working with children and some even have specialized education training. Food and Beverage are both very well adapted to Russian children and toddlers.
Children at “Easydays” are divided into three different groups: 2-3 years old, 3-5 years old and the senior group for children aged 5-7 years old.
The website of this kindergarten is extremely thorough and offers a plethora of information such as schedules, daily menus, pictures of all the employees working on site. The kindergarten divided children by age into four categories; 0-1.5 years old, 1.5-3 years old, 3 to 4 years old and 4 to 6 years old. A swimming pool, as well as swimming classes, are available at this location.
This Kindergarten opened its doors in 2012 and offers swimming classes, Art classes, English Lessons with a Native English speaker as well as science classes. This is one of the only Kindergartens in the Nathon Area.
Samui Kids Academy offers specialty classes that focus on development while having funs. Students are presented with a wide range of activities including music, art, theatre and cooking all under the care of motivated and well trained teachers.
The Oonrak Kindergarten is attached to the school of the same name so in case you like the kindergarten your children can continue their education in the same establishment. This establishment opened its doors in 2009 and welcomes children from age 2 to age 6. Most of the educators there are English speaking and children are encouraged to communicate in English for about 60% of their time at the kindergarten.
The structure has its own playground with slides, an afternoon nap room with comfortable beds for your children, a computer room available to older children, a library, a large swimming pool where your children can learn how to swim, dance classes. This Kindergarten was first known as Bluewater when it opened in 2006 but was soon renamed the International School. When you will be visiting the website you will be amazed by how much information is available online. Is it proof of seriousness? We believe so. The fact that questionnaires, rates and other documents are available in different languages such as Russian is definitely a plus for parents with difficulties in English.

This kindergarten is an expensive option but is great as it is recognized worldwide and provides the equivalent of a western education.
The Panyadee School is recognized and accredited by the Cambridge Examination Center for the Teaching of Elementary School Program. Here is how their own website describes the program:

The Lamai International School has a reputation for excellence and is a great option for your kids if you are staying in the Lamai area. Here is how the website describes its own program: “To provide a safe and nurturing environment, with a core curriculum that promotes academic excellence while creating an atmosphere of cooperation, with respect for individual differences and community values.”
Newly opened with a commitment to health and the environment as well as learning, Greenacre accepts children from age three to grade eight. The school offers a well balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales which leads to IGCSE qualifications that are recognized by colleges and universities globally.
The teachers are professionally trained and the world class facilities include a 25 metre swimming pool, Muay Thai gym and a full size football field.
Happy Toddlers is a smaller Kindergarten located in Bangrak for both English and Thai speaking children. Its prices are more affordable than most daycare and the quality of the teaching has been praised in many comments and by many parents.
Samui Montessori was opened in 2012 as a pre-school but is now only holding playgrounds. It follows the internationally acclaimed precepts of Maria Montessori where Children are encouraged to do things by themselves through a rigorous learning experience.
"The system is based on an individual approach to each child by the teacher: he always chooses the didactic material and the duration of employment, developing at the child’s own pace. Prepared environment - an essential element of the Montessori pedagogy. Without it, it cannot function as a system. The prepared environment gives the child the opportunity to gradually get rid of adult care, to become more independent.”
The Samui Center of Learning School was created in 2004 and is one of the few schools on the island to follow the British Education System and national curriculum (EYFS – Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum). The program is based on 7 different stages such as exploring personal, social and emotional development, physical development of the children as well as communication and language skills, literacy, Maths, Arts and design.
This school as a similar program as the one at the International School of Samui but is slightly less expensive.
