Chaweng: Koh Samui’s Entertainment Capital

09 february 2016

If you ever find yourself not knowing what to do while on holiday on Koh Samui maybe what you need is just to roam around Chaweng. Chaweng beach, almost 7 km long with powdery white sand, is the largest and busiest beach on the island. It is divided into three sections: North Chaweng, Central Chaweng and Chaweng Noi (Little Chaweng) around a headland to the south. The beach is beautiful here and local developers are finally cleaning up some of the trashy areas nearby. It attracts many young travellers and families alike, but still remains good value for money.

This area of the island is considered the entertainment capital and offers pretty much everything you could dream of. From beachside restaurants catering to guests with a wide range of tastes and budgets, great shopping, beach clubs for lazy afternoons and dynamic nightlife, Chaweng has it all.

Here are a few things you will encounter when going to Chaweng:

  • Central Festival Shopping Mall (Includes a brand new Theater, Major Cineplex)
  • Hundreds of restaurants for every budget.
  • Hundreds of shops (beware of counterfeit objects and the consequences of bringing them back to your home country)
  • Many spas and massage parlors for you to unwind before eating out
  • Beach clubs and bars where the party goes on all night long
  • World famous Lady Boy Shows

IVL Property hopes you enjoy your time in Chaweng. Please be aware of the signs on the beach noting the weather and riptide conditions. As we care about your health and safety please make sure not to drink and drive but rather contact your concierge to book an IVL driver.
