Children’s Day วันเด็กแห่งชาติ (Wan Dek Haeng Chat)

09 february 2016

Children are considered a treasured resource in Thailand, which is reflected in the old Thai saying “Children are the future of the nation, if the children are intelligent, the country will be prosperous.”

Children’s Day, though not a national holiday, is observed in Thailand on the second Saturday of January.

The focus of Children’s Day is to make children aware of their significant role in Thai society so schools encourage educational activities like visits to museums and families take their children to amusement parks and family friendly events at shopping centers.

IVL is happy to help your treat your children to a great day on Koh Samui. You can book an IVL driver to take you to the beach and enjoy a picnic lunch or visit the water park. Children love a visit to the animal farm in the mountains and a dip in a cool swimming pool. For additional family friendly fun please contact your IVL concierge.
